Welcome to this the eighth edition of Battle of the Base Wheels, where you, the readers, decide which vehicle has the best base wheels. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , we walked a mile in the shoes of a hot-shot drug rep to decide which full-size sedan’s base wheels had the fewest side effects.
The first round contests were close, with the Chrysler 300 and Toyota Avalon advancing to the championship. In the finale, though, it was a bloodbath. The Avalon quietly and comfortably slaughtered the 300 in one of the most lopsided finishes we’ve seen yet.
I’d Go Places in that.
Looks like the 300 is getting deported back to the Motor City.
Today we’re turning up the fun a notch with a free-for-all between sports cars with an MSRP under $50k.
Like last time, we’re going to split the group and make it a two-round affair. In the first round, you’ll vote for the best of the Europe and the best of Asia. The winners from round one will then face off tomorrow for the title, so make sure to check back for that.
Note: With groups like this, the lines of demarcation can be a bit blurred, so if I missed an entrant that you think should have been included, I’m sorry. C’est la vie.

Watch people on here will vote for the black accented wheels that look like cheap ricer wheels..yet you people are the first to bash any type of mod on any car.........
My vote is for the Miata and z4 they look the most normal and simple like stock wheels should be.

It all personal preference... But I guarantee if some one posted those wheels on an eclipse or somthing you would be screaming ricer.

I can’t figure out the Miata, either. Those wheels are not sexy.
It was a toss-up for me between the Genesis and the FR-S, but the FR-S won...

In this segment, repulsiveness might be the most important factor. Which ones do you hate?
For me:
Asia: 370Z, followed by the MX-5. 370Z looks a trying-too-hard aftermarket wheel, while the MX-5 looks like a mid-range aftermarket wheel that came from a big chain tire store.
Europe: Fiat. I mean, none are terrible, but this is the ugliest. Again, it looks cheap. The TT has a wheel that looks like a toned-down aftermarket wheel. The SLK is a close second - clean design. I don’t hate the Z4, but they look dated and out of place with the rest of the design.

Yeah you don’t hear the word much. But on here cars get hate for just about anything aftermarket. Unless it’s a muscle car then no one cares.

The ND wheels look kind of similar to the RS-Watanabe wheels I put on my FR-S, so I gotta vote for them.
A lot of people seem to hate the FR-S/BRZ wheels, and while I’m not in love with them I don’t hate them either.
However, I am a very big fan of the wheels on the FR-S Release Series 2.0
The BRZ Series.Blue and Series.Yellow wheels are an improvement as well, although I’m not as fond of them.
